Church Background Checks through Protect My Ministry are designed to help ministries implement and maintain a thorough background screening program for employees, staff and volunteers. Preventing sexual predators and violent offenders from working with children and youth is our primary concern. Everyone working with the youth will be screened.

The founders of Awana derived the Awana name from the first letters of "Approved workmen are not ashamed" as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 of the Bible.

Each Sunday night our young people and adults gather for the opening service.  Then they rotate between stations that focus on counsel time, game time, and scripture time.

Our Awana program runs from September through April. 

During the 10:00 a.m. Sunday service, the young people leave for their own worship time. 
During this time, they spend their time learning about the Bible in a fun environment targeted at their age.

1. Sunday school
   Sunday school classes are held at 9:00 a.m. for all ages, taught by individuals dedicated to the Lord Jesus.

            2.   Preschool - Kindergarten & First Grade meet in the preschool room, next to the fellowship area -
                  Dionne Pruess, teacher  
       
            3.  3rd. 4th, 5th and 6th Grades meet in the 2nd classroom at the top of the stairs-- LaVaun Jarr, Teacher. 


4.   Junior High meets in the new classroom to the right of Sr. High at the top of the stairs.    We have refurnished this room with comfortable furniture and game tables,   
       suitable for the Jr. High age group - Roy Boas Teacher

5.    Senior High  meets in the first new classroom at the top of the stairs on the right side of the hallway - Josh & Emily Hill, Teachers.

6.    College Class meets in the 3rd classroom at the top of the stairs - Tim Albert, Teacher.
